" Divisoria was made for everyone..a term for "makamasa"..where everybody can treat themselves."
Divisoria is not just a place for me, many memories I have happen in this place. I remember my families and friends every time I walk. In every street I remember how loud our laugh is, how many times we bargain, how long we spend just for the sake of bounding. Either we admit it or not, as a Filipino, Divisoria is a big part of our life. This place has a lot to offer, if you want something..then go to Divisoria, where businessmen came from and where the people trained how to budget every peso they have.
Rhia and I (Rhia is my best friend) are planning to shop in Divisoria tomorrow. She wants to treat herself and she keeps insisting that I should treat myself too as tomorrow will be our rest day. It's been a long time since we visit there. I remember during college days we buy clothes, shoes, pants, and accessories. On my Debut my mom bought me pink gown and souvenirs for the visitors. And just this year I discovered the building wherein all toys are available, it's seems I go back from my childhood. Old toys are still there. Perfect for Christmas!
I found old photos of Divisoria..well I see there's a lot of difference happen..

1. Tutuban Cluster Mall "Prime Block" - A block of airconditioned malls great for fashion and toy bargain hunting. Did I mention that you can still ask for lower prices from salesladies?
1. Tutuban Mall - the most upscale mall in town. In here, there are no more "tawads" since the mall is set to operate like the shopping centers we've been used to going to. Prices are all dictated by the tags. The jewel of this place is its Adidas Shop - the only branch that offers 40-70% discounts every day, all year round!
168 - Ahh, the mecca of wholesale prices. For any six pieces of the same item bought, you can get the price down to 20 to 30%. This place opens as early as 7:00AM since most of the regular shoppers are vendors and retailers.
Ongpin - For the jewelery afficionados and newly-weds-to-be, go to this area of Binondo. Beware though of fake items. While you may not be an expert on gold, always inspect the jewelery before you close the deal. Trust your gut instinct.
